The Cad Factory fundraising party!
Friday 4th May 2007Doors Open 8pm $10
This is a very special fund raiser to raise money for an exciting new Cad Factory project. Later in the year The Cad Factory will start hosting Artist in Residency programs and little music festival in remote NSW. Very remote. It's a 30 minutes drive out of Narrandera. The property is an old one room school house, which was built in 1888. The local community are coming together to build a large barn on the property to be used by people to develop creative projects and do country recordings etc etc etc. The money raised from tonights event will be used to lay the concrete foundations of this barn.

It's time for a very special Cad Factory Christmas Event.

This show is a benefit gig to raise some money for that wonderful Sydney visual artist "Wart" to enable her to get to Vienna next month where she has been invited to be the main exhibitor at a conference on Electronic Education, Science and Medicine.
.............What a wonderful thing.
It is time for another Cad Factory excursion.
This time it is occurring at the Old Fitzroy Theatre at 129 Dowling Street, Woolloomooloo.
Kieran Carroll, regular Cad Factory MC, has his new play "The Cheapest Hotel in Southern Victoria" appearing for a short season.
"The Cheapest Hotel in Southern Victoria"
"Every Christmas - New Year they come together for their annual holidays. This year it's the Fed-Up and Had-It Hotel, Talangawash.
Three old friends: Mal, a Year 10 geography teacher obsessed with keeping holiday expenses down. Ray, his Liberal party protegee obsessed with Malcolm Fraser and Des, a politically neutral philanderer obsessed with beer and the right songs on the jukebox.
Agonizingly stingy, they sub-let the end of their only bed to next door's permanent resident Mr Arthur Barnstormer and with the proposed arrival of elderly female love interests and the anger of the publican Mr Stinge, their stint at the Fed-Up and Had-It becomes their most testing holiday ever".
"A ridiculously silly comedy by the writer of 3XY OR I DIE, winner of the 2002 Best Original Production at the Melbourne Fringe Festival."
Sundays: May 22, May 29 & June 5, at 8pm.

Secrets of the City : Gumbramorra Swamp Thing
Sunday 13th March - Mackey Park - Tempe - (Cooks River Foreshore, opposite Tempe Railway Station)Sometimes you have to get out from between the four walls and spend a day amongst friends in the great outdoors. This is why on Sunday 13th March there is a bit of a Cad Factory excursion. It's not too far away, just a short trip down to Mackey Park at Tempe on the Cooks River Foreshore opposite Tempe Railway Station.
Art in the Park
Sunday 13th March 200511:00am - 3:00pm
Bring a picnic, a rug, and a box of wine if you like. The park will be littered with various art works, some created by members of The Cad Factory community.
There will be sound installations and real live "swamp creature" performances.
You can interact with some of the exhibits, or just lie back and reminisce on what a great time you had up at The Cad Factory the Friday before.
Ignore the installations if you like, and just curl up on a rug for a little lie down.
A game of cricket wouldn't be out of order either.
